"Only the true gospel of Jesus Christ saves—all others condemn."
In this sermon, I introduced the new study at Jezreel in the book of Galatians, diving into Paul’s passionate and urgent defense of the Christian faith against the very first heresy the early church ever faced.
Paul was completely flabbergasted that the Galatian churches were so quickly deserting the grace of Christ for a distorted, works-based "different gospel". I expose how modern false teachings—from the prosperity gospel to pseudo-Christian cults—continue to use Christian vocabulary but strip the cross of its power.
Through this text, we are challenged to stand firm, know the Scriptures, and protect the flock by taking three specific steps:
1. Guard Against Ghosts: Rejecting hollow, works-based imitations of the gospel.
2. Condemn Corrupted Messages: Opposing false teachers who deny the sufficiency of Scripture.
3. Please God, Not People: Living for the approval of Christ rather than the acceptance of the world.
